Flume's Modular Synthesizers
In front of his Doepfer A-100 Analog Modular System...
In the bottom row of Harvey's modular is Intellijel's Korgasmatron II dual filter module.
On the furthest bottom right corner of Flume's modular is Make Noise's unique Phonogene module.
In this instagram post of Flume posing with his modular, the second module to the left in the bottom row is Make Noise's dual oscillator module.
In this instagram post of Flume lying next to his modular, you can see Intellijel's Dual ADSR envelope generator in the bottom row.
Harley's Elements adds a modal synthesis voice to his modular.
From Flume's Instagram story, this demo is reposted showing him working on a new song demo with the modular. He uses this module to create harmonic intervals between notes and to quantize them to set scales resulting in a pretty neat sounding melody.
Towards the end of the clip he does very briefly flash the module on screen. Although unused in the demo he most likely uses it to add texture and ambiance to some sounds in his music.
In the top right in Harley's modular is the Make Noise Erbe-Verb dsp reverb module.
In Harley's modular you can see the Telharmonic.
The SD808, which is modeled on the snare from Roland's 808 drum machine, is nestled amongst Harley's other drum modules.
This compact dual VCA mixes and outputs all the different sounds and signals in Harley's modular when he's finished shaping and sculpting them.
This multi-track sequencer ties all the elements of Harley's modular together.
This USB/Midi-to-CV/Gate interface sits beside Harley's drum modules and connects his modular to his computer, especially useful because he doesn't have any dedicated CV or function sources.
This voltage controlled delay and chorus module adds some simple but useful effects to supplement the more complex and powerful Erbe-Verb and Phonogene modules in Harley's modular.
On the bottom left of Harley's modular is his Metropolis, which is based on the ryk-185 design that started in early modular Roland synths.
Find it on:
In the top left of Harley's modular is his collection of drum modules, all modeled on classic Roland TR series designs. The one closest to his sequencer is the BD808, which is based on the kick drum of Roland's legendary TR-808 drum machine.
This module modelling the classic clap sound from the Roland TR-909 drum machine sits amidst other drum modules in the top left corner of Harley's modular.
Sitting amongst his other drum modules is this one modelling the classic hat sounds on the legendary Roland TR-808 drum machine.
