Grant-Lee Phillips

I still play through a Twin or a Deluxe. I’m actually liking the Deluxe more these days, even with Grant Lee Buffalo. It’s a little more focused for me. I’ve used Marshalls in the past... Vox are great for recording. It seems like ancient so much of my touring lately has been acoustic.

All through with Grant Lee Buffalo I would play a Takamine 12-string and I would pop in a DiMarzio pickup or Dean Markey in the sound hole and that would go through a Metal Zone (laughs) and that would go through a couple of Twins. It was kind of an unorthodox, Frankenstein way of doing it... but it made quite a sound. When I go out with Grant Lee Buffalo to this day, that is basically my sound
