"I approached the guitar making like I'm doing a race car. This is a tool for a job: go fast, be accurate, and do everything I need to do day-to-day, and I can go to job [sic] and then drive this thing." Li's current main instruments are prototypes of a completely bespoke design he is designing alongside PRS. The flashiest feature is the custom dragon inlays, a parody of the iconic PRS birds. It also has a custom Saber-esque maple/mahogany body, and even the neck shape and joint are original designs from Li. After breaking a neck with his infamous hip check at Hellfest 2022, Li and PRS have been continuing to iterate on reinforcing the joint. It previously had his same DiMarzio HLM pickups and the Edge Zero bridge that his E-Gen signatures had, but Li has now changed the pickups for a Fishman HSH set, and plans to replace the bridge.
