Jacob Collier's Keyboards and Synthesizers
Jacob Collier frequently uses the Nord Stage 2 88-Key Stage Keyboard in his YouTube videos and live performances, as evidenced by a user-uploaded photo on Audioxpress.
In this recording of "Don't You Know" with Snarky Puppy, Jacob can be seen using the Prophet '08 with a harmonizer.
As seen in the piano shots, propped up against the wall to the left of the upright bass. Distinguished by the red and white faders, this is clearly the YC61. It's seemingly not been used for any musical projects yet, but was likely intended as a stage piano for the post-Covid Djesse tour.
During this performance the left Jacob is seen playing a vintage piano. Judging by the position of the knobs and the front metal plate (which is smaller compared to Fender Rhodes) I can assume this is a Wurlitzer 200A.
Collier takes a solo on this melodica in his take on Georgia On My Mind.
By his piano, Jacob Collier used a Moog Little Phatty Stage II for synth leads at his BBC Proms show in 2018.
In the photo from Infoglobo, Jacob Collier is seen using the Clavia Nord Lead 4 Synthesizer during a live performance.
In a video by Yamaha Music Europe, Jacob Collier is shown using the Yamaha Genos Digital Workstation, highlighting its features and capabilities.
He's only used this keyboard once, during his performance on Jimmy Kimmel. Visible at 0:21, identifiable by the "XW-P1" marking on the back. It's unclear if he'll use it ever again or where he got it from, but it's likely that he either rented it or had it, like the other Casio keyboard, for quite some time, he just stopped using it when he got some better ones.
Featured in this interview with Casio.
He performs with it in this video with Jonas Samuel Eger Visual Arts.
Visible in Collier's cover of Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," starting at 3:20.
Visible throughout Collier's cover of Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," starting at 0:18.
Can be seen playing Yamaha PSSA50 in this post.
