Vulfpeck's Gear
Vulf used the Cp80 for few dates, especially for the live at Madison Square Garden.
Starting at 2:50 in the video, Stratton is seen using Logic Pro X to demonstrate how he gets the tone for the tutorial.
Find it on:
Jack Stratton can be seen playing a juno-60 throughout the video. We see a particularly good view of it at 2:49.
Ernie Ball Music Man collaborated with Joe Dart to work on his Signature bass and he has been using it with Vulfpeck ever since.
"When I started with Vulfpeck, I was playing the one bass I owned, a Fender Jazz." --Joe Dart
Joe's Main Bass For A Long Time From Volmilch to A Beautiful Game This Bass Is Iconic To Vulfpeck
Vulfpeck made the "Goodhertz Vulf Compressor", as seen in the video.
In an article by Jenny Stevens on NME, a photo shows a member of Vulfpeck wearing Panasonic RP-HTX7 Retro Portable Monitor Headphones.
In the music video for It Gets Funkier IV, Stratton is seen using the 61-key version of the Korg microKEY. This MIDI controller is also seen in numerous piano tutorials posted on their YouTube channel.
Used by Woody Goss in the performance at Washington Festival in Ann Arbor, MI in 2016.
at 1:00 and throughout you can see Joey Dosik playing a Micromoog
throughout you can see Woody Goss playing Pocket Piano
The wurlitzer has been used on countless Vulfpeck hits like The Birdwatcher,Soft Parade,It Gets Funkier 1,Dean Town,Etc
It made it's first Debut in "It Gets Funkier 1"
In Vulfpeck's music video for "Beastly," Joe Dart is seen playing a Fender Pino Palladino Signature Precision Bass, prominently featured during their first EP, "Mit Peck."
Vulfpeck uses the Hohner Clavinet D6 in their live performances, as seen in their "Vulfpeck Live at Madison Square Garden" concert. The instrument was first featured in their track "It Gets Funkier 3."
This is Jack Stratton's Bass which is been used by Joe in other songs Like It Gets Funkier 1 and 4 ,Tomboy,Daddy, He Got A Tesla,Disco Ulysses Etc
and this is also the inspiration behind the "Joe Dart Musicman Bass Signature"
The story of the design of this bass is that Jack Stratton had a cheap bass from a pawn shop with that single humbucker configuration and natural finish but with with broken active electronics, he fixed it by bypassing the preamp so it ended up with only the volume knob functional. You can see Joe playing this original bass on the Disco Ulysses video. The idea of this signature was to recreate that sound and style but with the craftsmanship of a Musicman.
This Bass Was used on some songs from "Fugue State" like Skymall,1612 and "Thrill Of The Arts" Like "Conscious Club" and "Funky Duck"
In Vulfpeck's live performance of "My First Car," as shown on YouTube, the band prominently features a Gibson ES-335, played primarily by Jack Stratton and Theo Katzman.
In the YouTube video "VULFPECK /// Fugue State," members of Vulfpeck, including Cory, Jack, and Theo, are seen playing a Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar. This guitar is prominently featured in their work from the "Fugue State" album through to "Hill Climber," appearing in nearly every song in their catalog.
Vulfpeck occasionally uses the Fender Precision Bass in their recordings. Notably, it is featured in the YouTube video "VULFPECK /// El Chepe," along with tracks like "Love Is A Beautiful Thing" and "Cup Stacker."
At 2:48 in this video, a top-down shot of this synth can be clearly seen. You can tell that it's the Juno-6 particularly by the lack of patch memory (thus not a Juno-60) and by the panel design (thus not a Juno-106).
Can be seen clearly at 1:53 of this video.
In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5K3UgrPdbQ, Theo Katzman appears to be singing in a CAD M179 while playing drums. It is hard to determine that it was actually used to record for the soundtrack as the voice is multi-tracked and processed.
Used by Jack Stratton in both the provided video and this additional video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pwc46IeG-M
