"I’m using the LTD EC-401. I like having a thicker-bodied guitar. I’m using them with Seymour Duncan JB pickups. I find that the 24.75” scale is a really comfortable fit. All of my guitar have 22 frets. You get a lot of harmonics in 22-fret guitars that you don’t with 24 frets. I’m a big fan of A/B-ing the sounds between guitars, and the 22-fret models work better for me. Previously, I’d have to turn to an overdrive pedal to get the sound I wanted, but with the EC-401, it’s totally sonically consistent between guitars."

In the video of "Torn In Two", we can see the jasen rauch's American special Fender Strat. He put a white pickguard and a single humbucher in the bridge (it seems to be an seymour duncan sh-4) and a switch instead of the middle tone knob. It's an american special 'cause only this strat is available in black color, a maple fretboard and a big 70's strat headstock. Also photographed live on May 4th, 2022 in Ft. Wayne Indiana.

Rauch shows off his current touring instruments in this post, amongst which are a few Fender Telecasters. Two can be seen in this post: a butterscotch one that seems to be completely stock and a white one that's had a Seymour Duncan humbucker installed in the bridge position.

I’m good friends with Jasen’s tech and he sent me this picture. It’s a Highway one Strat that has been modified with a single humbucker in the bridge.
