Jim Donna played a Wurlitzer 140B (or the similar 145B) with the '60s one hit wonder The Castaways. In one interview, Donna said that this was the first keyboard he purchased after joining the band.

Donna can be seen playing an early sparkle-top Fender Rhodes piano with the Castaways in 1965. This model was introduced that same year, so this is one of the first known examples of the instrument "in the wild."
In another photo of the band, a sparkle-top Fender Rhodes (right) looks to have been affixed to a Vox Continental stand. Very odd.
