The DGT model, known for its separate volume controls for the bridge and neck pickups, allows Jimmy to achieve his distinctive sound by blending a touch of the neck pickup with the full bridge pickup. This choice may also be influenced by the need to rent guitars for performances in Mexico, due to restrictions on importing instruments with endangered rosewood.
