Joe Raposo

Joe Raposo played his black geddy lee signature jazz bass from 2007 until he sold it in 2019.

This bass is all original except for upgrades which its previous needed for his busy touring schedule: Seymour Duncan SJB-3 Quarterpounders and a drop Tuner.

There is proof on the website where there's a signed pickguard on which Joe Raposo thanks the buyer.

When Joe Raposo played the song "Blocked Out" live with RKL he used a Steinberger XT 2 travel bass.

Joe can be seen using a G&L SB-2 bass in this video. The notch in the headstock indicates that it is a G&L. At the 5:26 to 5:27 mark, you can see the J style pickup in the bridge position, and at the 8:06 to 8:09 you can see the P style pickup in the neck position. He used this bass on RKL's 1995 tour.

At 59:05 in this video, Joe notes that he played a Hohner bass that was licensed by Steinberger. Judging by other videos and photos of him playing with RKL in the late 80's it appears to be a Red Hohner B2 model. It looks like he covered the Hohner logo with some sort of tribal art sticker and also two Thrasher Magazine stickers at another time.
