At 59:05 in this video, Joe notes that he played a Hohner bass that was licensed by Steinberger. Judging by other videos and photos of him playing with RKL in the late 80's it appears to be a Red Hohner B2 model. It looks like he covered the Hohner logo with some sort of tribal art sticker and also two Thrasher Magazine stickers at another time.
