My dad’s ’72 Gibson ES-355 is on a lot of the album. Also, my Rickenbacker 12, my white GVCG strat, and my ’57 Les Paul Junior.

Jonathan on his main acoustic: “The Gibson is a first year J-50 – 1947. I got it in Hollywood about 10 years ago. It was cheap because it was beat up, but I knew it must sound good if it’s beat up!”
In an article by Kathleen Johnson for Vintage Guitar® magazine, Jonathan Wilson discusses using his dad's Rickenbacker 340/12.
Jonathan Wilson describes the '60s Höfner Colorama as "one of my secret weapons in the studio," noting that "its pickups scream like P-90s on steroids, plus it’s got crazy coil tapping/phase switching mods that enable it to sound like that Marc Bolan half-cocked wah filter tone," according to an article by Kathleen Johnson in Vintage Guitar® magazine.
Jonathan Wilson confirms his use of the '46 Martin 000-18 guitar for recording sessions requiring definition in fingerpicked parts, as noted in an article by Kathleen Johnson in Vintage Guitar® magazine. Wilson describes the instrument: "It performs flawlessly after a rough life. It weighs about three ounces – it’s a feather!”
In an article by Kathleen Johnson for Vintage Guitar® magazine, Jonathan Wilson confirms his use of the Gibson Chet Atkins Tennessean Electric Guitar, stating, "This ’62 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean was the first vintage guitar Wilson bought – he was 13 at the time. 'It’s stock, untouched, and I still use it.'"
Jonathan Wilson confirmed his use of the Gretsch Duo Jet Electric Guitar in an interview with Vintage Guitar® magazine, where he stated, "I ordered this after seeing George Harrison with one on the cover of Cloud Nine," and praised the instrument by saying, "Early-’90s Gretsch reissues are wonderful; the DeArmond pickups are outstanding – some of the best clean tones I’ve ever heard."
