Kaskade's Studio Monitors
In a video of Kaskade talking about his studio gear, Meyer HD-1 Studio Monitors can be seen next to his Pioneer S-DJ08 Studio Monitors.
You can see his MiniMain12's in the background of his studio.
Kaskade talks about why he likes the Pioneer S-DJ08 Monitors:
"Thee Pioneer speakers are sweet, it's great, you can see in this studio I've got 3 different monitors. I think it's really important when mixing and mastering to have as many monitors as you feel comfortable with. I love the Pioneers because I felt really comfortable with them right off the bat. I think it's probably because I use the Pioneer headphones a lot, and I felt comfortable with the sound already. So when I stuck the speaker on it didn't take a long time for me to get used to. It was a really great reference, I felt like it was a pretty true, honest sound, and it's a great addition to the studio. Something that I can listen to a mix on and be really confident on how it's gonna translate to a bunch of different environments - from somebody's car to their home stereo. It's been a great addition for me."
The mix cubes are visible in the background in this Q&A video for his album Fire & Ice (Uploaded on Oct 25, 2011). They look like the buttercream passive version to me, but they could be active.
A pair of ATC SCM110ASL Pro studio monitors can be seen in this photo of Kaskade's new studio, as of 20 September 2012. This photo was uploaded by Kaskade to his Facebook page on 20 September 2012.
From his Atmosphere livestream, you can see the Crane Song Avocet in his sidecar rack above his Avid I/O.
