In this user-uploaded photo, Kazunobu Mineta is seen playing a Rickenbacker 330 Electric Guitar, a model he frequently uses during live performances.

The Rickenbacker 330, which Mineta had been using live and in the studio since his time in Going Steady, was snapped by the neck against Mineta's knee on April 5, 2025 at the Growing Up is Dumb festival in Los Angeles, California during the performance of "No Future No Cry". The neck was thrown into the crowd, and the body was later given to a friend of the band. A day later, Mineta explains at a Q&A at Going Underground Records in Los Angeles, California (https://youtu.be/c3a0vizwFXM?si=4YZ-Oe9wu-edb6Us&t=11) that he destroyed the guitar in the heat of the moment. He explained that although he was saddened the guitar was destroyed, that day was the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death, so he felt it was okay.

In the "Singles Going Steady" band score book, Mineta is said to have used a Rickenbacker 381 guitar. The page states that he had purchased the guitar before Going Steady went on tour in 2001. The guitar's features — Jetglo finish, silver pick-guard, black truss rod cover, and Rickenbacker HB-1 pickups — identify it as a Rickenbacker 381JK John Kay Signature model. In the "DOOR" band score book, the Rickenbacker is said to used on the recordings for the debut Ging Nang Boyz albums, and in The Ging Nang Boyz 2007 documentary, this guitar is seen in the studio. With Ging Nang Boyz, Mineta would continue to use this guitar live, and it can be seen throughout the "Ai Jigoku" live DVD.
