The liner notes of Get Closer by Linda Ronstadt mention Kenny Edwards playing a Ferrington Acoustic Bass Guitar on the song Talk To Me Of Mendocino

At around the 0:58 mark one can see Kenny Edwards (on the right) playing a sunburst Fender Jazz Bass. Based on other videos I've seen, it's either a 1964. '65, or '66. Some people have posted that he plays a Precision bass. But you can clearly see in this video at 0:58 that the pick guard doesn't cover the volume and tone knobs and that the small cover that does is chrome which is only available on the J-bass.
