In the late 60s, early 70s, Chip Hawkes plays a Fender Precision bass for most of his performances, both on TV and on live. Seen in many mimed performances of songs such as Yellow River, Call Me Number One, Hello World, My Little Lady, and many more, he would use this bass as his main instrument. Chip is seen to have 2 Fender Precision basses, one with cream, almost yellowish color finish with a tortoise pickguard, and another with a sunburst finish, similarly with a tortoise pickguard.
