During a Sparklehorse concert in November 2002 at Velvet Club in Rimini, Italy, I observed Mark Linkous playing a red Harmony H80T Stratocaster, identifiable by a "Woody Woodpecker" sticker on the pickguard. This sighting aligns with photos available on Flickr, credited to Richard Dean.
Mark is playing a Fender Strat body with a Music Man Sabre I neck. In this video you can clearly make out the Music Man Sabre logo. The body shape is consistent with Fender Strat but there is a chance it could be a copy.
You can hear some of the samples used in the Optigan discs through the song, the specific sample used is called "Guitar In 3/4 Time"
