A Shadowkey has a great huge rhythm sound - can you describe how this is created?

My guitars are Jackson RR's and a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier amp head spiced with Ibanez Tubecreamer TS9 thru Marshall JCM800 lead series cabs, which I think are the best sounding Marshalls ever. Harri's (OG's another guitarist) set-up is Gibson Flying-V thru Marshall JCM800 model 2203; that's the single channel model, thru Marshall cabs spiced with the mighty yellow Boss SuperOverdrive. The sound is created with just these two rhythm guitars, but there were lots of different microphones in front of and behind the cabs.

BOSS HM-2 guitar pedal to the max to bring some Sunlight! I’ve been playing now two years in Insomnium and we’ve had one (1) rehearsals and we had three (3) rehearsals with OG before going to studio to record ”Beyond”. It’s mostly that in OG i wrote and demo record the music ready at my home studio and send it to the other guys to polish, arrange and rehearse ready at home. Old men livin’ too far away from each other without too much spare time, that’s the reason for this.

About amp settings, there are many on the album as we used a big pile of amplifiers and splitter the signals to many amps at the same time. We just got new Axe-fx 2 XL's with Ville this week and we'll be using them on the road from now on. Sounds awesome so far, even it's a bitch to program up ready. My beloved trusted amp that i have used almost a decade and are still using is Mesa Single Rectifier with a lil bit of mod, and TC g-system effect management system.

And guitar is of course Jackson RR w/ Seymour Duncan TB4 & Jazz pickups. Get the best and fuck the rest!
