Martin Jenner's Gear

This is the concert that a TDPRI user spotted Martin Jenner using what looks like Kurt Cobain's Jaguar with a different neck on it. I'm marking the Jaguar under the stock name here because of the different neck and that I'm not sure how else to classify it since there are some grand differences from the guitar when it was in Nirvana and when it was with Jenner. The Jaguar appears quite a bit throughout the video.

  • looks like stock bridge
  • strangle appears to still be there
  • Original Blocks & Binding neck, Kurt may have been right that the guitar was a 1966 model (65' body 66' neck?), the neck was probably replaced sometime in the 80's
  • Vintage Lefty Jags had right handed vibrato units with a compensated arm, Jenner's has holes on both sides, meaning someone did metalwork to the guitar to put the whammy bar on the proper left-handed side. Kurt Cobain's guitar is just like this as well
  • Other work done include the 3-way selector switch, pickups, and 3 knobs - all match Kurt's Guitar - plus the guitar probably had a flight case if Jenner was traveling all over the world with Cliff with this guitar.

There is another video of it here. - Cliff in London 1980 - turns up during "Carrie", a bit more visible in some ways, less in others https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oCRNvujgHs&t=1789s
