Matt Hoopes' Amplifiers
At 10:50 he points out the Top Hat Vanderbilt 33 and says "This is sort of a Marshall/Vox hybrid. An amazing amp. I picked this up on the Forget Not Slow Down record. That was probably the main amp on that record. It just sounds good. You just turn it on and it sounds awesome. Very interesting sound. Sounds different than most amps I've heard, even boutique amps."
Seen at 11:20 saying "There are only two of these in existance. That other one Dustin from Thrice owns. I met Nick from New Vintage a while ago. We bought cabs from him. I was very happy with the cabinets. And just started talking to him about amps and so then Matt and I, right at the beginning of this tour, picked up these amps and, I mean, I cannot speak highly enough."
12:26 he says "So this is the one I was on before. It's a 77 Marshall. Very cool and good sounding amp."
Matt shown standing in front of a Silvertone 1484 Amp head and cab. I want to say they use this for recording because i do not remember seeing them with this on stage recently.
