While this is discussed in numerous places on the WWW, I learned it by asking Nate's co-guitarist Scott Hedrick about what pickups they were using during a stop on the "Serpents Unleashed" tour. He told me they'd recently switched from the Duncan Distortion, and recommended the Black Winter very highly!
