Not sure if the exact type of strings I used was correct, but on early records he pretty much mimicked John Entwistle of The Who by using LaBella flats, a Jazz Bass and a pick like he did on some records due to John Entwistle recommending he do so. He only used them for a very short period before trying to make his own sounds with Rotosound Roundwounds and Sunn amps.
