I use the Iridium as a preamp at the end of my chain, before hitting the amp. It allows for more nuanced tone control than my Princeton. The Princeton is a beautiful clean amp, but like most good small tube amps has only a 2 band EQ and a less fine-tuneable volume (and no drive control).
