Before the recording of The Black Parade, Ray’s Marshall JCM 2000 broke down during preproduction, and ended up using producer Rob Cavallo’s Marshall JCM 800 head, and it became the main head used for The Black Parade.

In the music video for "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" by My Chemical Romance, Ray Toro is seen using the Crate BV300HB Blue Voodoo Guitar Amp Head. It can additionally be seen in footage of the performance at the Club Krome in Sayreville NJ from 2003.
