Robin Guthrie's Bass Guitars
In this interview with Guitar Player Magazine from Robin Guthrie's official website, he mentions that he's "got two olympic white '62 Fender VI" baritone guitars.
In the Equipment Notes section on Robin Guthrie's official website, he mentions using a Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar.
"We've been getting some basses recently, too — I picked up a Shergold six-string bass which I haven't had much of a chance to try out, and an eight-string Ibanez bass. A Squier Precision, as well, that's lush. I've a couple of acoustics, a Yamaha 12-string and six-string."
Robin Guthrie uses a Shergold Marathon 6 String Bass, as evidenced by his statement, "We've been getting some basses recently, too — I picked up a Shergold six-string bass which I haven't had much of a chance to try out, and an eight-string Ibanez bass," in the article "Coctale" from One Two Testing, November 1984.
