"For that, I usually play my 1956 Fender electric mandolin. Basically, it’s a miniature 4-string solidbody electric guitar. Having just four strings, I can bend notes. I can’t do that on an 8-string mandolin. So, that’s where I take my electric-guitar knowledge and apply it."
