Scott Kelly's Gear
What kind of gear do you use? Kelly: I play a ’93 Gibson Les Paul Studio with a Duncan Distortion pickup being the only mod.
"Typically, I play straight with a touch of delay, but I sometimes use an MXR Flanger, Blue Box" says Scott Kelly
"My amp is a Marshall JCM 800, and I use these unbelievably powerful, handmade custom cabs from EarCandy in Indiana. The frequency range is stunning. Every note is totally articulated. There’s bottom-of-the-barrel growl, but throw in a high note, and it’s super clear."

Scott Kelly used a custom Monson Redemption guitar in a natural wood finish for everything Shrinebuilder did. He presumably also used it in Neurosis for a time.
It is worth noting that these guitars were special order, and most of them had different customizations and inlays, shapes, colors, etc. Kelly's had iron cross inlays and what looks like a bird encircled in silver around the 12th fret.
