Sean Yseult's Gear
Me and my Rick! Back on tour in ‘88. I always loved Lemmy and Motörhead, so as I saved up enough money I bought this used Rickenbacker on 48th Street in NYC - I believe at 48th Street Guitars. It was my 2nd main bass after my Phantom!
Sean can be seeing playing a Sean Yseult Casket Bass starting at 1:30 of this music video featured in SXSW 2014.
Sean Yseult used this bass on the Astrocreep 2000 shows.
Sean Yseult uses Dunlop Tortex Standard 0.73mm picks, as seen in a photograph associated with her work in White Zombie.
'For me, the RH40 is all that I need - the sound coming from this tiny head blew me away the first time I played it! Loud, aggressive, powerful, and full clear tones - I love it. And for the first time, I don't have to ask someone to help me move my gear - that is one of my favorite things about the RH50. A lot of time we fly in for one-off gigs, and now I can bring my amp as easy as my bass!'
It can also be seen in this promo shot.
Played around 1993 and seen in many live promo shots incl. MTV's Haunted House Party 1993
Unsure if used on recordings.
Sean received this bass in "Absynthe Frost" as a gift from Jackson as stated in the post.
In the official music video for "Thunder Kiss '65" by White Zombie, Sean Yseult can be seen playing a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV - Metallic Black at the 1:13 mark. Additionally, Sean Yseult mentioned in an interview, "J. and I both were playing Charvels at that time—we got them because Sam Ash was having a crazy sale on them right around when we were about to record, and if I remember correctly, Slayer played on Charvels then, so we thought they must be the right guitars! I was always going for a heavy but clear sound—not too bright, but also not muffled or soft."
