The Rev's Drum Sets
The Rev used a DW Collector's Series drum kit with a custom snakeskin wrap. He had three bass drums, one of which he didnt use, all sized 22x18, an 8x5 tom, an 8x7 tom, a 10x8 tom, a 12x9 tom, a 14x11 tom, a 16x14 tom, a 18x16 tom (all mounted on a DW Super Rack), and two DW 9000 single bass pedals. However, did not use the 8x5 tom while on tour.
In this scene from their documentary all excess, The A7X members show garage they used to practice in. They show the DW drum kit they purchased after signing to a label for the first time
This is what The Rev used before he was endorsed by DW
The Rev, drummer for Avenged Sevenfold, uses The Rev Drum Kit, as detailed in the Avenged Sevenfold Indonesia article "Spesifikasi Drum Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan" on A7x-forever.
The Rev used a 7-piece Pork Pie 1991 USA Custom Drum Kit with dimensions of 22×18 bass drum, 8×7, 10×8, 12×9, 14×11, 16×14 toms (all on racks), and a 9-ply 14×6 snare on the "City of Evil" album. This kit can be seen in use on tracks such as "Beast and the Harlot," "Bat Country," and "M.I.A." from the album. Evidence of this can be found in YouTube videos like "Recording City of Evil Pt.1" and Avenged Sevenfold's breakdown series on "Beast and the Harlot." The Rev also used a DW kit on the album, but the Pork Pie snare is still being used.
