The Rev used a 7-piece Pork Pie 1991 USA Custom Drum Kit with dimensions of 22×18 bass drum, 8×7, 10×8, 12×9, 14×11, 16×14 toms (all on racks), and a 9-ply 14×6 snare on the "City of Evil" album. This kit can be seen in use on tracks such as "Beast and the Harlot," "Bat Country," and "M.I.A." from the album. Evidence of this can be found in YouTube videos like "Recording City of Evil Pt.1" and Avenged Sevenfold's breakdown series on "Beast and the Harlot." The Rev also used a DW kit on the album, but the Pork Pie snare is still being used.
In the September 1993 issue of Modern Drummer, it was documented that Tim Alexander used a Pork Pie Custom Drum Kit before transitioning to Tama.
