The bass Commerford used for most of the early Rage Against the Machine years. Pickguard removed on a natural wood finish.

Tim Commerford has used the Lakland USA Series 44-60 (Vintage J) bass during recent Rage Against the Machine performances. A user-uploaded photo on Wordpress captures him with this instrument.

As stated by Juan Alderete in this June 23, 2018 Instagram post, Commerford got a Denver Broncos themed custom shop P-bass around the same time Alderete got his Oakland Raiders themed one.

It was my first Custom Shop bass, made around the same time Alex made Tim Commerford’s “Denver Bronco” bass. Tim and I used to kick it and we were competitive fans as our teams were rivals. He got a @broncos bass, I got a @raiders bass.

Two images are shown during this video immediately after each other, at 12:29, showing Commerford with two different Rickenbackers, a natural finish one with white binding and an arctic white finish one with what looks to be like an gold-anodised aluminium pickguard and no binding ( seems to be a 4001S model due to the dot inlays ).
