Tim Mahoney's Amplifiers
Tim used two Diamond Phantom heads in his 2009 rig.
Tim Mahoney's 311 stage setup includes a Diamond Spitfire II, for his clean tones, according to Guitar Geek.
"All the high-gain sounds on this album (Stereolithic) are a ’90s Bogner Uberschall and a Diamond Spitfire II."
"Each head drives a stacked pair of Diamond straight 4x12 cabs ..."
In an article on Premier Guitar titled "Tim Mahoney: 311 Comes Full Circle," Tim Mahoney's current rig setup is detailed, including his use of the Fender '68 Custom Twin Reverb amplifier.
In this YouTube video, you can see that Tim Mahoney is using an early version of the Mesa Boogie dual rectifier. It only has 12 knobs instead of the common 18 knobs. He is known for using all Mesa Boogie products all throughout the 90s. There are, of course, many more instances (clear ones, at that) where you can see him using the dual rectifier during live performances.
