I have a Stevie Ray Vaughan Strat that I’ve played so much.That was my first real Fender – I played it for many years, from when I first came to Berklee. People always say it just sounds great for funk, so maybe I’d get my own version of that, but with a bit of a different neck shape. That would be amazing!

Tomo Fujita uses the Fender John Mayer Signature Stratocaster, as noted on his official website. Fujita, who taught John Mayer at Berklee College of Music, highlights this connection through his choice of instrument.

This is not the actual ibanez he owns. Tomo had a custom strat-style one made with an actual sss configuration, a five way switch and a volume, tone, tone setup.
