Selena's Gear
In the live performance of "Como La Flor" at the Astrodome, Selena used a Cerwin-Vega T-689 wireless microphone. She purchased the microphone in January 1994 and frequently mentioned her fondness for it. Notably, she would clean the lipstick stains from the mic head with a toothbrush after her concerts.
Selena used an Electro-Voice RE410 for her live concerts. She made the purchase in early 1994 and continued using the microphone till her death in March of 1995. The microphone is now displayed in her museum. The microphone is very iconic due to her red lipstick on the capsule.
Selena’s Band used a roland D-70 keyboard for her live concerts to play her hit songs! You can slightly see in the Background played by her keyboardist Joe Odeja
During the production of Selenas Dreaming of You album, her recoding engineers matched her with a U-87 microphone. The song titled Dreaming of You was the last song recorded for the album and that location was at her family owned recording studio.
Selena used a SM58 wired microphone during 1991-1993. She can be seen using the microphone during the live recording of her Grammy Award winning live album, Selena: Live.
Selena used a AKG C 414 XL II Condenser Mic during the recording process for her Amor Prohibido album. The video shown is her singing a song from the album in her family owned recording studio in Texas.
Selena used a Sennheiser SKM 4031 for the 1993 Astrodome Concert She had and also in early 1994 on small tv shows in mexico.The microphone has a great sound for vocals and in the 1993 concert you can hear the powerful vocals she had and you can hear her powerful vocals in 1994 when she used this microphone!

This system, known for its reliability in live stage settings, was a staple in her concerts since she acquired it in January 1994. Notably, her trademark lipstick often left marks on the microphone head, a testament to her frequent use.
Selena's lead guitarist / husband Chris Perez used a 1991 Fender Richie Sambora Strat w/Floyd Rose during their Amor Prohibidio tour which lasted from 1994-1995. As a back up guitar Chris had a white version of the same make and mode which was used mainly for recording purposes.
In the live performance of "Baila Esta Cumbia" at the Astrodome, Selena uses the LP A280 Aspire Chimes during the intro of "Como La Flor" to create a magical atmosphere for the audience, as seen in the SelenaVEVO video.
Selena used the Samson SH-2 at the 1993 Tejano Music Awards for her performance.
