Inspired by the mythical transparent overdrive pedal, the KB-1 Overdrive+ is a custom professional Overdrive and Distortion pedal capable of transparent subtle drive to high gain boost.

We replicated the idea and phenomenal tone of the classic drive pedal and implemented the option of extra distortion capabilities engaged with a second footswitch. Your signal can now go from crystal clear boost, to classic overdrive, and into higher gain distortion - fuzzy sustain with the second footswitch engaging our Boost feature. All from one pedal, and without having to tinker with settings. Just kick on the added boost footswitch and let the notes scream and sustain.

Clipping NOS vintage Germanium Diodes from Russia give a sparkling overdrive while the drive circuit maintains the clean signal’s tonal integrity. Running with 24 volts of headroom, your signal integrity stays intact.

The additional ”Boost” stage allows the option to feed a higher gain, soft clipping silicon based distortion. Allowing you to color and saturate the channel, while maintaining the nuances of the overdrive. An additional Level control allows you to fine tune the Boost's master volume to tailor the drive to your setup.

Basic Function

Footswitch “I” engages pedal on/off. When clicked on (orange LED) you are in classic Overdrive mode with VOL, TONE, and GAIN knobs active. The vintage NOS Russian germanium diodes are activated as the GAIN knob is increased.

Footswitch “II” engages our proprietary Boost function (red LED), and heavier distortion capabilities are unleashed. In this mode all 5 knobs are active and will interact with each other.

Secret function

If desired, you may pre engage “Boost” mode by clicking Footswitch “II” before the pedal is turned on with Footswitch “I”. This will take the pedal straight into Boost settings when the pedal is clicked on with Footswitch I. Red LED will light and all 5 knobs will be active
