Updates to guidelines - gear and artist submissions
Glad you replaced the text with a link to the guidelines! Everything you laid out makes sense.
Happy to comply =)

Updates to guidelines - gear and artist submissions
A little puzzled by what you're asking in regards to descriptors.
Tagged underneath items names on the edit page is the following: "Enter the product name as the manufacturer would write it. Don't be too verbose, e.g. Boss TR-2 Tremolo Guitar Effect Pedal" (imagine the double tildes to indicate a cross out)
Is what you're asking meant to be a shift away from that request?

Not the person you were replying to, but I was having this issue on my laptop till I cleared out my cache/cookies. Didn't want to offer that as a solution unless I was sure it would work on other computing devices of mine (seeing the same solution worked for me on my phone). Hope that helps in any way!

Yeah, that's a good point! Now seeing I can't add items directly from the product page anymore. Have to go to my Equipboard & add items from there instead.
So that & not having an easy access edit button at the top part of the page are my two main gripes atm about the product page redesign. The old design really had these things nailed down. A shame these aspects of the design couldn't be incorporated into the current redesign =/

I like the modernity of the redesign. This would be an awesome UI/UX to have throughout the site (e.g. loving the foldable sections).
Editing items doesn't feel as straightforward as before though (e.g. the only way I've found to edit photos is actually to click the "add/edit description" button). Not a fan of the redundant add/edit buttons for each section. I'd personally prefer a central add/edit button somewhere at the top part of the page like before.
Look forward to seeing how this all plays out! Again, liking the modernity of the redesign this first go-around =)

iZotope BreakTweaker Sale ($10 instead of $250)
https://www.izotope.com/en/shop/breaktweaker-expanded.html
I missed out on the sale just under a year ago. Just noticed it went back on sale though. Not sure how much longer it's gonna be on sale.
Also not sure if it's worth it for $250... but it's definitely worth it for $10!

iZotope & Plugin Boutique are running crazy sales... again!
I mean, it's not a straight giveaway like Iris 2 three months ago, but $90 off a $99 plugin is still nuts!
There's also heavy discounts on a bunch of bundles, as outlined by the Bedroom Producers Blog.
You also get AAS Objeq Delay for free when you purchase any discounted iZotope product from Plugin Boutique... that's the craziest part imo! đ¤Ż

Suggestion for First Submissions Queue
Love your proposed solution! Would help a lot! đđ

Suggestion for First Submissions Queue
So I finally got around to looking at the first submissions queue. Hurts to look at.
It would be nice if there were a filter system at the top (similar to the "artists needing gear" page). The tags could be based on gear category (DJ gear, music software, etc). I bring this up because producer/DJ gear is my personal strong suit when it comes to identifying gear, which allows me to be more efficient about checking the quality of first submissions. Others on here are gonna have different strong suits (e.g. guitar pedals & effects).
In the meanwhile, getting through a bit of this submissions queue day by day should be fun. LOL.

Reordering our Equipboard gear photos
Couldn't find anything in the forums about this, so figured I'd start a thread.
The ability to re-order the gear on our Equipboards has been there for a good while now. Is there a timeline for when we'll be able to do the same for our gear photos? Not really something I was looking to do personally, but it's puzzling we don't have the option to do so. đ

Potential Bug: gear image fails to display
Thought it was just me; been seeing it even after emptying out cache for my browser.
Edge v86.0.622.63 & Chrome v86.0.4240.183.

Iris 2 is free on Plugin Boutique (for a limited time I'm guessing)
Beatport sent out an email about the code to me & others this morning. Sale's going on till November 11th. Six days. Thinking Plugin Boutique fixed their site (basing this on feedback I'm getting from offline producer friends).
Go go go!!! XD

Iris 2 is free on Plugin Boutique (for a limited time I'm guessing)
Enter IRISBP to checkout on Plugin Boutique for iZotope Iris 2 & it should mark down the price to $0. Source is from the guy who designed the UI itself.
Even if you don't wind up liking it, you just got a $150 synth for free... so enjoy... LOL!

âDirect reply to commentsâ feature
Great points man!
Man, I'm guilty of not contributing nearly as much to the various pro artist pages as I used to back in the 2013-2014 range (starting to wonder what happened to some of the members from back then; LOL). I should get on that.
Btw, forgive me. How tf do you tag things in a photo? Looked through the FAQ & couldn't find anything. @? #? đ

âDirect reply to commentsâ feature
Hi! Is there anyone else on here who wants the ability to reply to other peopleâs comments on your gear photos/reviews? Like a direct reply button to a given comment (like we have in the forums) rather than a reply to the general photo/review.
I can imagine this feature getting messy from a UI perspective, but I thought Iâd get the ball rolling and bring the idea up (my apologies if it has already been brought up; I couldnât find anything when I did an initial search through the forums though)!
=)

This is clean! Nice!
Feels inconsistent in relation to the home page & forums though. Guessing you guys are gonna refresh those next.
Awesome stuff! =D

I donât think the way the cards look now is too busy. Thatâs just me; Iâll let others who disagree chime in.

LOL it just occurred to me there's no upvote/downvote buttons. Guess you'll just have to live with an upvote post for now.
+1 for everyone
(it'd be nice if we could edit our comments on each other's gear too, now that I think about it)

Adding Twitch to our Equipboards
Hey man! Bandcamp is an even better idea. A more popular choice too I feel. I hope you're able to get around to adding both when the time comes! =D

Adding Twitch to our Equipboards
I was debating filling out the contact us form to ask if Twitch could be included in the "approved" (not sure that's the right word) websites for all our Equipboards. However, I'm curious as to how many people on here actually have a Twitch.
I think Twitch is a cool way for us to share our music with each other in a live format (which complements stuff like SoundCloud & Youtube). Is that something that resonates with anybody on here?
Also, feel free to shamelessly promote your Twitch for us to check out. I'll start.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
For the want section, I'd suggest allowing the person to put in a description of why they want it and a comments section for that item. That way, people who see it can comment if there's something better out there maybe (or they can comment if they simply agree LOL). Just my two cents. Great job on the site, as always! =)

There's also Tom Cosm. Mr. Bill is an absolute boss though.

Categorizing Products on Equipboard
Not really. Maybe on the side a list of recently added artists (basically a lot of the old stuff). You could have the home page be as it is for people who aren't logged in; then once you log in, the dashboard pops up and all.
Appreciate your listening to everyone's comments about the site.

Categorizing Products on Equipboard
Yeah we really need the dashboard back. What I liked about it is you could see not only what other gear had been added to a pro's equipboard but also what gear had been added to a fellow member's equipboard. Felt like that allowed everyone to be more connected somehow, though I could be the only one who believes so. But I definitely love the whole categorizing concept with the gear. It helps.
