Simple interface for instrument to phone/tablet
I use this for my livestreams on Facebook and/or Instagram. For this I go into my acoustic amp with both guitar and vocals and then go out of my line-out with a jack cable, which goes into the iRig. Don't turn it up too high or it will distort!

Good amp!
I don't know much about amps. This one sounds cool. I love the bass, I can't handle when amps sound trebly, twangy and harsh. It's a warm-sounding tubes amp with a cool vintage look.

Sweet simple rock guitar
It's a nice chunk of wood with strings on it and it makes loud noises, depending on what amp you have it hooked up. Love the satin finish, love the colour (mine is brown), love the long fretboard. So easy to play, I have it in Drop D at all times, powerchords, one finger, bob's your uncle!

The 1 and only!
To a lot of you it might seem strange to be recommended a guitar strap but this one is really special people, let me tell you: it's stretchy and it makes your guitar feel like it is an organic part of your body. Common straps made from leather or plastic feel really stiff to me and I always feel like they are dragging me down, especially with the heavier guitars. I'd like to believe that this flexible strap is even better for your back and neck, but I'm not a chiropractician, so take that with a grain of salt. Anyway, once I've tried it, I never looked back and now I have one on every of my main guitars.

The real deal!
Why it is the harmonizer plug-in everyone is looking for! What you hear on Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" is this, mixed with another vocal machine and what you hear on Bon Iver's "715 - CREEKS" and pretty much every send recording of his going forward is this, only tweaked slightly to make it possible to use it in real-time, the resulting technology named the "Messina". To me the difference between this plug-in and a lot of vocoder-like plug-ins is, that it is an electronic sound that still sounds somewhat human and organic and not like a robot (like a lot of Daft Punk stuff). So what are you waiting for? Dive into the beauty that is lush, deep and full sounding harmonizer sounds!

Very affordable tremolo that does what it needs to
To be honest, I wrote "affordable" to avoid writing "cheap", because this little fella is a steal. I don't know much about tremolos other than that they make my guitar sound all wobbly and wave-like. So I'm gonna hold back on those 5 stars for now. I have the volume set to about 11 o'clock and speed to about 1 o'clock at all times and then dial in depth and bias according to how I feel like at the moment.

An actual vocoder for your guitar!
I wanna preface this by saying: this is not for everyone! I can see this catering to a fairly small audience of vocoder enthusiasts that also wanna play guitar rather than a keyboard to make those beautiful electronic vocal sounds happen. If this sounds like you, you should try it out. I use the talkbox mode for single-note daft punky kind of stuff and the advanced setting for chords that make it sound legitimately like Bon Iver's "715 - CREEKS" or Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek". I found that those sounds sound the best with both tone and colour turned down to 9 o'clock.

In-Ear Monitors from Germany
I'm happy to put these guys on the map here. They are an awesome company creating beautiful custom made in-ear monitors with up to 8 drivers. They sound awesome and my pair is by far the best purchase I have ever made in terms of professional monitoring on stage and in the studio. I use them all the time for everything, even for house concerts or when I go busking, and why shouldn't I? Take your studio sound with you wherever you go. They are so comfortable, I wear them for sometimes 4 or 5 hours at a time and I completely forget they are there. If you are in the market for some in-ear monitors, go check them out. :)

An epiphany for synth-sound-loving guitar players!
This little guy totally blew me away when I first found it on the net. Ordered it right away, had to wait 3 months because it was sold out everywhere (shortly after it released) and rightfully so. It has so much to offer to anyone who likes a nice retro synth sound. There's so much 80's in there that I tend to forget, I wasn't born in time to experience this beautiful decade while it happened. But seriously, the sounds are so inspiring and beautiful and the machine is so responsive with no lack whatsoever. I actually use it with an acoustic guitar, which is probably not the most common way, but it works so well. Mostly I just blend in a little pad or strings with the dry guitar signal to have it floating in the background, but sometimes I turn the effect up and use it to play a lead synth or a bass line that I record with my loop station to layer to create a totally different vibe. Buy this thing, try it out at least, you won't regret it!

The best harmonizer out there right now!
It's the best and most natural sounding harmonizer I have ever heard. The additional voices really sound as if there are one or two backing vocals in the background. The best option for pretty much every song I play is the 3rd above and 4th below (second preset at 8 o'clock). Be careful with the level though! If I turn it up higher than 9 o'clock it tends to distort when I sing too loud. The built-in Tone function is pretty neat too, I keep that on at all times, because well, it just makes the voice sound good. :)

Great sounding low-noise live mic
It sounds just as nice as the SM58 but the big benefit is, that it is not as sensitive to outside noise. Also you can sing really loud and it doesn't sound too harsh. If you want a mic for a loop station that makes sure that even less noise from around you (eg. the audience) is getting on your loop, use the OM7. It doesn't sound as good (a little muffled) but it is even less sensitive.

There's a new star on the horizon!
This capo changed everything I thought I knew and liked about the capos I used so far. It is the be-all and end-all of capodasters. It not only makes changing the fret so easy, it also does not make the guitar go out of tune. At least not in a way that the strings are detuned in relation to each other, because it distributes the pressure evenly on all the strings. This is essential when playing gigs cause you don't wanna have to tune every time you change the capo (which I do very often). It's great, just get it.

My new main babe
There's really nothing to say about this guitar other than that to me personally, it feels like I have finally arrived at the guitar I'm gonna stick with for the rest of my life, after years of buying guitars and looking for the sound I needed. This dreadnought acoustic guitar has the crisp and brilliant sound of a typical J-45 with the bass response of a J-45 Studio (same woods) and it feels so smooth and woody, being the first and so far only Gibson acoustic guitar with a bee-wax satin finish. Not only does it feel so natural and woody, it also looks so clean and beautiful and as a nice side effect is made only from responsibly harvested trees, hence the name "sustainable". It is an allrounder: Picking, strumming, tenderly caressing, everything goes. :)

My dream electric!
This one has been my dream electric for a long time and it just had to be. Matt Corby, Grizzly Bear and Aidan Knight play it and their sound has really influenced me a lot. Now since 2015 you don't have to look around for an expensive 60's model anymore, because they are building a vintage model. Just the thing for me, because I'm not that much into 50 years old guitars anyway.

If you get an old one that's been cared for they really are very nice. My 1st grownup guitar was a Guild Starfire 1 from the 60s in that great greenish-burst... well cared for apart from some unavaoidable lacquer checking. The new guilds from korea or wherever do not hold up to the standard of that guitar. I wanted them to because I miss it and woulda liked to find an affordable starfire 2 or 4 to replace her, but the new ones are just okay.

The perfect companion to the smaller 000-M15
Since I've been playing the 000-M15 for 3 years I've felt that I needed a bigger body guitar. After looking at some D18's and D28's I was reassured that the all-mahogany sound is really the sound for me and so I just got the D15 and was perfectly satisfied. Now I'm playing one or the other and always have a very good back-up.

The mic for me right now!
Any time I was put in front of this mic in the studio it sounded incredibly true and direct and that's what I love about it. It's been my "Go-to-mic" for all songs that needed a more souly, bluesy, rooty sound for the vocals and since this is the type of music I'm getting into more and more it was just common sense to get one of my own. If you haven't tried it out and only know the clear high sound of condensers, make sure you try it!

Nice for the price!
I don't know if it's me or if these headphones are pretty bassy, but at the end of the day they are a decent pair for a decent price.

Small speakers, big sound
I honestly don't know a whole lot about speakers, but I know that I like a good relation between speaker size and volume and these definitely fit in that category. "Klein aber fein" as we say in Germany.
