Superb
This compressor is spectacular! I’m a big fan of optical compressors and this one is simply the best of them. The compression is smooth and pretty much transparent, and the EQ works beautifully. I can place it after germanium fuzz faces without losing the harmonics and overtones.

It has potential, but disappoints
I have had this power supply twice, and both times I had to claim the warranty due to the same malfunctioning issue. I works perfectly until it doesn’t. The isolation fails at some point and it starts becoming very noisy when you touch it. Both times it was deemed unserviceable. Since it’s not being manufactured anymore, I got the money back and bought the Power Grid from Friedman.

The true sound of a fuzz face
This pedal is absolutely insane! Mike is the best fuzz pedal builder alive and any Sunface is a proof of that.
The BART/ Rca is thick sounding, woolly and smooth. The volume cleanup is superb. I pretty much leave it on all the time just riding the guitar volume and tone knobs to adapt to the other pedals. I can’t recommend this enough.

Great Octavia for that Hendrix sound
This pedal nails the Octavia sound and then some. The blend knob is very useful to be able to add just a bit of the effect into a fuzz or overdrive, maintaining the clarity for chords intact.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Volume to taste, fuzz 1 o’clock and blend 10 o’clock

The fuzz to rule them all
The Pandora fuzz can do it all. Low fuzz overdrive, high gain, volume clean up. Big low end or tight, sharp or wooly, you name it, it does. The active Bass and Treble knobs are priceless. Germanium fuzz and temperature stable! Internal buffer for no brainer pedalboard placement.

The new favourite
This pedal nailed the sound I had in my mind and could not achieve. It is superb! So round and full of harmonics. It has a good amount of low end and the treble is all there too. Goes from Mosfet overdrive to tone bender, bias or not. Cleans up magically no matter where you put it in the chain. Pairs up amazingly with a tube screamer. Works for chords or searing lead tones. An all rounder for sure. Anyway, if you got to this review, that means you are looking for something different, and the Embla will get you there.

No brainer looping made easy
This is a great loop pedal! What really stands out is the double switches. No need to double tap the same switch and all that annoying perfect timing required. Tap record to start, and press play to stop recording. As simple as that. Then on top of this perfect and simple features, you can record another layer by tapping record again and so on. If you didn’t like the last layer, play switch will delete it, without deleting the rest. It’s marvellous really. I don’t really use the other features, like external tap, double speed/half speed or play in reverse, but just because my main goal is to practice rhythm, riffs and leads. It can be buffered or true bypass, and as it goes last in the signal chain, having it on buffered helps sending a strong signal to the amp. It’s not the cheapest looper, but it will only be expensive until you buy it. After that the money won’t matter anymore, just it’s value to your rig. Same as all the other awesome pedals out there.
