A true tube screamer

I love the grittiness this pedal gives. It’s full and warm, not bright at all. Perfect for some Muddy Waters songs.

One of my favourites

If you have narrowed down your search for the next overdrive, and the Plumes is still on the list, just buy it. It is truly an awesome pedal. The three voices make it a very versatile pedal. In a nutshell you have a bluesbreaker on the left, a clean boost on the middle and a tube screamer on the right. All three work really well with tone and drive knobs and the plumes pairs astoundingly well with other pedals. The headroom on this thing is also something to be revered. It’s just great.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Volume at 3, Tone at 1 o’clock and Drive at 10, hitting the blues driver.

Great lofi sound

This is a great lofi vibrato pedal. It is a little on the treble side of the spectrum, you might have to add the lows back after it. Pairs great with overdrives and fuzzes. A tone knob could greatly improve this pedal, that why I gave 4 stars.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Velocity at 9 Focus at 3 Exposure at 3 Type B

Not the one

I have had the MkIIs for about a year now and all I can say is this is not the fuzz for me. I keep tweaking the knobs and I never seem to find a tone I can say “this is it”. The filter knob is only usable on the right side, otherwise it gets awfully muddy. As if I were playing with a pillow in front of the speakers. The “secret” trimpots inside should really be in front of the pedal. It doesn’t make sense having to open it every time I’m not satisfied with the tones coming from the crunch and scoop knobs. I really like way huge and they make awesome pedals, but for a super versatile fuzz, this is not the one.

As good as the best, only better

It’s as good as the 535q mini, only better. I don’t have to remember to turn it off after I finish using my wah.

This is truly a factory of fuzz

First in the signal chain, or else it doesn’t work. Apart from that, it’s insanely awesome!
