I’m still hyped fo sho, but with the new joint out by Isla Instruments for WAY cheaper (heard they’ve been awesome w/ user requested updates, etc. too) & while I’m not even close to up to date I’m pretty sure a ton more features & customization.

I’m as old as the putting tape on a tape so I could record over a tape with a tape so I’m no less hyped to see this happen…

It’s just if anyone is looking to really make a move on an SP1200 & don’t need the “Grail Edition” SP, definitely check out Isla Instruments offering

I’ve given up “teaching”. Maybe it’s me? Might be, I dunno...I can’t seem to get anything thru to people asking for help. What I see as white light blinding obvious they couldn’t find with google maps. I don’t understand how to unfuck that kinda thing.

Like to go back & kick whoever came up with this format of “tips/hacks/etc.” for engineering. It’s like giving a would be aircraft mechanic a “hack” for inflating tires on a 747. Sorry man, this is a wholistic enterprise. Gonna have a plane wreck with well tended tires. Hacks only cause myopic thinking & a distorted view of your capabilities.

Didn’t know it was possible coming from a veteran Avid background. Kinda like having computer issues back in the day then Apple comes along in the early 00’ and just replaces anything you gotta issue with on the spot no questions asked (that’s faded since sadly) but yep- that’s Ableton now.
