Super Versatile snare, extremely responsive, you can get a lot of snare response with the smallest of ghost notes. Tunes very easily, you can get a fat low tuned sound along with a nice crack when cranked up. The micro thread pitch tension rods help with fine tuning. I play most kinds of music and it works great for everything from metal to jazz, its great for modern jazz due to the responsive snares for ghost notes. Im an intermediate drummer starting music school and this was a great addition to my setup, definitely a forever snare. I was originally looking at the black nickel over brass but this one came up for a good price.
