In this picture, you can see he has a Fender Stratocaster and can tell it is from 1954 - 1960 by the headstock shape. It can be further narrowed down by black fret markers on a maple neck which was standard in 1954 and 1955. He used this guitar in the studio sessions for "I Know a Little" and "That Smell" from Street Survivors. There are only a few pictures of the guitar because he only made one album with the band before his death. When performing live he used a 1964 Stratocaster.
