About
Brides of Destruction is a hard-hitting glam metal and sleaze rock band that emerged from the vibrant Los Angeles music scene in the early 2000s. Formed by rock veterans Tracii Guns (guitar) and Nikki Sixx (bass), the band also features London LeGrand (vocals) and Scott Coogan (drums). Known for their gritty and energetic sound, Brides of Destruction released their debut album Here Come the Brides in 2004, showcasing a blend of hard rock and post-grunge influences. The band's lineup has seen several changes, but their core ethos of delivering high-octane rock remains steadfast.
How to Sound Like Brides of Destruction
Brides of Destruction's sound is defined by its aggressive, riff-driven guitar work and pounding bass lines that create a powerful sonic foundation. Their music combines the raw edge of sleaze rock with the polished sheen of glam metal, producing tracks that are both anthemic and gritty. Tracii Guns often utilizes the Epiphone Les Paul Custom paired with multi-effects processors like the HeadRush Pedalboard to craft his sharp, soaring solos and crunchy rhythm parts. Nikki Sixx complements this with the Gibson Nikki Sixx Thunderbird Bass, delivering thunderous low-end energy that drives the band's dynamic sound. Together, they create a gritty, high-energy atmosphere that captures the spirit of classic glam and sleaze rock.
