How to Sound Like Lit
Lit’s sound is characterized by its energetic and melodic nature, blending the raw edge of alternative rock with the catchy hooks of pop punk. The band's guitar work is both gritty and melodic, with Jeremy Popoff often utilizing the powerful tones of a Fender Telecaster or Gibson Les Paul through a Marshall JCM Slash Signature 2555SL amplifier to achieve a robust and driving sound. A Boss OD-1 OverDrive pedal adds a touch of grit, enhancing the aggressive, yet melodic nature of their music. The rhythm section, anchored by Kevin Baldes on bass, provides a solid, rhythmic backbone that complements the punchy, hook-laden guitar riffs. This combination creates a sound that is both polished and raw, perfectly capturing the essence of late '90s pop punk with an enduring appeal.
