The band was originally formed by Blaine Harrison (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Will Rees (guitar), and Kapil Trivedi (drums), with Blaine's father, Henry Harrison, playing a significant role in their creative process. Over the years, the lineup evolved, with Jack Flanagan (bass) joining their ranks.
