Blackheart Engineering is a line of all-tube guitar amplifiers developed as an offshoot of Crate under parent company Loud Technologies (which also owns Ampeg). The amps were designed and prototyped in Austin, Texas by amp designer Pyotr Belov and produced overseas in China, with the goal of delivering boutique-style tube tone and overbuilt construction at accessible price points.

The lineup is best known for the Little Giant series — notably the BH5 Little Giant, a single-ended Class A 5-watt combo running one EL84 power tube and a 12AX7 preamp — and the BH15 Handsome Devil, a 15-watt dual-mode head and combo that can switch down to 7 watts for lower-volume break-up. Other models in the catalog include the Killer Ant practice amp and the Killer Hanna. The circuits drew on classic American and British workhorse voicings from the 1960s and were popular among players looking for cheap tube amps that were easy to modify, with point-to-point-style wiring on turret board making them a frequent platform for DIY mods.

Though the brand is not in active production, Blackheart amps retain a dedicated following on the used market for their tone-to-price ratio and tinker-friendly internals.
