Jet City Amplification was founded in 2009 in Seattle, Washington by Doug White and Dan Gallagher in collaboration with noted amp designer Mike Soldano. The company was built around the idea of offering tube guitar amplifiers at working-musician price points, with circuits designed in the U.S. by Soldano and production handled overseas. Its early catalog — including models like the JCA20H, JCA50H, JCA100H and the JCA2112RC combo — drew attention for delivering Soldano-flavored high-gain tones, particularly preamp voicings derived from the Soldano SLO-100, at a fraction of boutique prices.
