Harrison Audio is a Nashville, Tennessee-based manufacturer of large-format mixing consoles, audio plug-ins, and digital audio workstation software. Founded in the early 1970s by Dave Harrison—a former King Records engineer who had previously built gear under the Pandora name—the company introduced the Harrison 3232 in 1975, widely credited as the first 32-bus in-line mixing console. That in-line topology went on to become the template for nearly every large-format music console that followed.
The 32 Series and its successors earned a reputation for a distinctive EQ voicing and dense, dimensional mix character, with Harrison desks used on records including Michael Jackson's Thriller, Donald Fagen's The Nightfly, Supertramp's Breakfast in America, Led Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door, Queen's The Game, and much of ABBA's catalog. The company expanded into film and broadcast with the PP-1 film console in 1979, which became a standard in Hollywood post-production, followed by the MPC and Series Twelve digital consoles.
The product line today spans the 32Classic analogue console—a modern reissue of the 32 Series with AD/DA conversion and a Dante interface—alongside the Mixbus DAW, the 32C and Comp plug-ins, and the Creator Pack bundle. Harrison is part of the Audiotonix group and shares some technology with sister brand Solid State Logic.
