Mahalo is a ukulele brand established in 1999 by Kikutani Music, a musical instrument distributor based in Nagoya, Japan. The brand name comes from the Hawaiian word for "thank you." Mahalo was launched with the goal of producing affordable, playable entry-level ukuleles at a time when most low-cost ukuleles on the market were considered toys rather than real instruments. Production was initially handled in China by Team International, which later began distributing the brand internationally under license.

Manufacturing takes place at Mahalo's own facility in Surabaya, Indonesia, where the company emphasizes in-house production and sustainably harvested tonewoods. The catalog spans sopranino, soprano, concert, tenor, baritone, and bass ukuleles, along with guitarleles, kalimbas, and lap-top cajons. Product lines include the Rainbow Series, U-Smile Series, Art Series, Island Series, Java Series, Hano Series, Pearl Series, Designer Series, Artist Elite Series, Master Series, and Historic Series, among others.

Mahalo is widely associated with the beginner and student ukulele market and is frequently cited as one of the highest-volume ukulele brands worldwide, particularly during the global ukulele revival of the 2000s and 2010s. The Rainbow Series, with its brightly colored soprano ukuleles, is among the brand's most recognizable product lines.
