Schertler is a Swiss audio equipment company based in Mendrisio, founded in 1986 by double bassist Stephan Schertler. The company began when Schertler, dissatisfied with available amplification options for his instrument, designed the STAT-B — an electrostatic contact microphone for double bass that became the foundation of the brand. Schertler SA was formally established in 1999, and in 2019 the company consolidated all production in Switzerland to become a fully Swiss-made operation.

The brand designs analog audio gear for acoustic stringed instruments, including pickups and contact microphones (the STAT series of electrostatic transducers and the dynamic DYN series), preamplifiers, the Jam series of acoustic instrument combo amplifiers, the David acoustic combo, the Magnetico AG6 magnetic soundhole pickup, and the Basik acoustic pickup. Schertler also produces analog mixing consoles such as the modular Arthur and fixed-channel Unico, along with PA components for live acoustic reinforcement.

The company is known within the acoustic, jazz, and classical communities for high-fidelity amplification of bowed and plucked instruments, and runs an ambassadors program with players including jazz violinist Sam Bardfeld and Italian guitarist Dario Fornara. Chick Corea worked with Schertler on a custom Arthur mixer used as his personal monitoring system.
