pretty neat but uhhh
Dont pay too much for this thing. the amount of control versus the genuine applied variability of its sound isnt really a ratio in its favor.

i swapped the 12v and ground connections powering it and needed to pay $54 for its repair outside of this piece of ignorance ive had a great timew ith this device

stock cables not good if your ears are even remotely small. connectors are not very durable. sounds good.

dont get the e10k
no 64 bit asio drivers for fiio e10k. This has a battery, balanced output, and is very small

overrated but still bretty cool
Making your own patches for the Organelle in puredata is unrealistic for a large part of their users. It's not impossible, but its just not realistic. It's advertised as an easy to learn thing, but is it not. Being restricted to pre-made patches kinda sucks when I paid $750 for this but whatever I guess.
It can still do a lot, but the advertising is a bit manipulative.

Pure Data is just as deep as Max/MSP, but even less user-friendly than Max; it's Miller Puckette's 'no frills' version, and as such, it takes years to learn in depth. I think it would indeed help if Critter and Guitarri's marketing was less 'cutesy' and more, 'you know this is for nerds, don't you?' orientated!

Not for the faint of heart
This thing feels like i could bash open the skull of a small child with it. The hardware never fails me, but the software does. Installing the drivers for this is a huge pain in the ass. Sometimes, after disconnecting and reconnecting, it will be unrecognized and i have to "install" the driver for it again. (which is really just grabbing the driver in device manager and 'associating' it with it)

Almost perfect
Akai still makes the best pads, however this model is known for ghosting and double tapping issues. After taking it apart multiple times, the sensitivity is kinda fucky. Yet its still better than 99% of midi drum pads.

Every 1x1 midi interface uses the same chip and strangely enough they all have quality control issues. I have gone through like 3 of these. no thanks
